Daniel K

Daniel has established himself in the international music community, performing arts and community festivals in the Midwest, and throughout Europe with various acclaimed recording artists including Foley, former member of the Miles Davis Group. Graduated from the Capital University Conservatory of Music, he now resides in New York City. Daniel excels in performing a wide range of styles, notably jazz, salsa, classical and contemporary pop music. Classically trained on the piano since the age of six, his influences and experiences with theater, dance, and educational workshops including the "Children of the Future" program (where he worked with at-risk inner city children to teach and inspire through art and music activities) have culminated in the development of his original music compositions. These new works have been performed in the United States and Europe, and have been released on CD by his own quintet. He is the founder of the Avant-Collective, a progressive group of performers and composers that have come out of the tradition of John Zorn's improvised optical music. In 1999 they performed Zorn's Cobra and recorded their first CD. Zorn called it "Some of the best new music" he has heard. The Avant-Collective is currently performing gigs throughout the midwest and is planning performances in New York City.

Stevie P Steve has performed in Ohio, New York, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Southern Thailand. With Louie Bellson, Henry Cuesta and The Benny Goodman Orchestra, The Guy Lombardo Band, Honk Wail and Moan, The Beetkeepers, Yumbambe, The New Basics Brass Band and OSU Opera Theater His groups have done shows with friends The 10,000 Maniacs, Marshall Crenshaw, American Music Club, The Holmes Brothers, Ben Vaughn Combo, Sonny Sharrock, Marc Ribot, White Zombie, Scrawl, The Fabulous Johnson Brothers, Mary Adam 12, Boy Thai, The Cocktails, ... Founder of the bands Wooden Soul, "modern jazz pioneering" Honk Wail and Moan, and Rayzer. Founding member of roots-prog Schtick, improvised gamers Avant Collective, trad-acoustic rockers Wheel Hoss and improv-rockers Syrup. Was a member of acoustic rockers the Beetkeepers. Is a full time member of The Sean Carney Band. Steve studied double bass at OSU in Columbus Ohio, has been playing bass for 27 years, singing for a few years and playing guitar and percussion not quite well enough to be dangerous. He has over 20 years accompaniment experience in musical theatre, Serbo-Croatian dance and modern dance playing bass, a little percussion and guitar.
